Set in a kingdom where danger lurks
beneath the sea, mermaids seek vengeance with song, and magic is a choice,
Adalyn Grace’s All the Stars and Teeth is a thrilling fantasy for fans of
Stephanie Garber’s Caraval and Sarah J. Maas’s Throne of Glass series.
She will reign.
As princess of the island kingdom
Visidia, Amora Montara has spent her entire life training to be High
Animancer—the master of souls. The rest of the realm can choose their magic,
but for Amora, it’s never been a choice. To secure her place as heir to the
throne, she must prove her mastery of the monarchy’s dangerous soul magic.
When her demonstration goes awry, Amora
is forced to flee. She strikes a deal with Bastian, a mysterious pirate: he’ll
help her prove she’s fit to rule, if she’ll help him reclaim his stolen magic.
But sailing the kingdom holds more
wonder—and more peril—than Amora anticipated. A destructive new magic is on the
rise, and if Amora is to conquer it, she’ll need to face legendary monsters,
cross paths with vengeful mermaids, and deal with a stow-away she never
expected… or risk the fate of Visidia and lose the crown forever.
I am the right choice. The only choice.
And I will protect my kingdom.

Favorite Quotes:
The fog must have finally made its way through my coat and into my bones. The chill of it touches my core.
The ocean below twinkles as if dusted with millions of crystal shards.
I never knew how much I wanted this-how much I was missing it-until now.
I will my heart to stop. If it stops now, then I wont' have to know what happens next.
I shut my eyes as the ocean swallows me whole. Water floods my lungs, and I choke on the one thing I love the most.
What a brilliant weapon that hook could make.
Review:
All the Stars and Teeth by Adalyn Grace is such an amazing book. From the very beginning, All the Stars and Teeth had me addicted. I absoutely loved everything about this book. The Magic System
I really enjoyed the magic system that Adalyn has create. There are seven island of the Kingdom of Visidia and each island has its own magic. The magic that is involved in this world is mind magic, soul magic, elemental magic, time magic, curse magic, restoration magic, and enchantment magic. Basically the Kingdom is made up of two rules. Rule No. 1, No one is allowed to practice more than one magic. If you were to learn more that one it would be too much and too dangerous for a person. It would have violent consequences. No. 2, Only the Montara family is allowed to do soul magic.
I found the magic system to be very interesting but also very complicated. I am looking forward to learning more as I read on. I think there is a lot more to all the magic than what the reader has read so far.
The Characters
I really loved the characters.
Ferrick is Amora's long time friend and fiance. He will follow her anywhere. He is very loyal. I love that he is sweet and caring. He has his own dreams and desire that he would like to accomplish. He doesn't focus everything on Amora.
Amora is very interesting. She is to be the next ruler of the kingdom. She is trying to learn as much about her kingdom as she can. She is very naive but she truly wants the best for people. She also isn't afraid to do what she wants.
Then there is Vataea. She is a married that joins the crew in the middle of the journey. In a lot of ways, I like her the most. She definitely has some tricks up her sleeve. Lastly there is Bastian.
Bastian is definitely to love interest to Amora in this book. He is a very confident pirate but he does care for us.
I can't even begin to express to you how much I loved this book. I really don't have anything bad to say. All I really can say is go read this book. It is so good and I really hope that you pick it up and enjoy it as much as I did.
