Midnight Jewel by Richelle Mead is so good. This is the first time that I am reading a series that is done in a different POV but is the same story in each book. I am really enjoying these books. Mead is a brilliant writer. Do you remember all those moments that Mira disappeared in The Glittering Court? Now is the time to find out. Mira has been through so much in her life but she truly just wants to pay off her brothers bond so they may unite.
Grant is trying to recruit a Glittering Court girl to become an asset for his cause. Mira ends up volunteering and then proves to Grant why he wants her as his asset. I really enjoyed Grant and Mira's interactions. These two are always hot and cold. I never knew when they would be getting along. They brought so much to this story when they were together.
I loved getting the extra information in this book that was left out of the last book. We get to learn more about Governor Doyle and what he is really up to. I am really looking forward to getting Tamsin's side of the story. As they say there is always three sides to every story, Mead really brings that point of view to the surface. I really enjoy Mead's writing. This is the second book that I've read by her and I am still enjoying her style. I definitely need to check out more of her books.
