Dazzled by Books

I was really looking forward to this book and I found myself being a bit disappointed. I have gotten to read a few of Hughes books and usually there is a wonderful romance. I had a really hard time connecting to the main character. She was a bit too whiney for my taste.

What I liked:

• I love destination books. It gives me a chance to learn about a new place.


•  I do like the writing style.


• I love the second chance underlying lesson

What I didn't Like:

• the characters. I didn't like any of them. This made reading the book a bit harder for me.


• I don't understand the decisions that the characters made.


• I don't like the focus on all the brand names. I feel like Hughes is doing this a lot in her books. I feel like it draws attention away from the writing.

Will I give Hughes a second chance. Of course. I was disappointed that I didn't love this one though.
