"The Temp" by Emily Benet was a bit of a disappointment for me. I was looking for something fun and light, but I found that this story just wasn't cutting it. It felt really boring. I also had a hard time getting into the story because it seemed so very slow.
Amber is a college graduate and has been working temp agency jobs until she figures out what she would like to do with the rest of her life. Amber ends up lying to this guy that asks her out on a date which makes everything interesting. It seemed like Amber just wanted to continue making her life complicated.
There were a few funny parts to the book but all in all I just wasn't in to it. I feel like this is one of those not you its me situations. A lot of people seemed to have loved this book.
