Review: Payback on Poplar Lane by Margaret Mincks is so cute. Rachel is a very shy middle school girl that lives next door to Peter Gronkowski. Peter Gronkowski is a self proclaimed entrepreneur that starts a new business almost every week.  When Peter starts up a new fortune telling gig, he needs to hire an unpaid intern. Rachel applies for the job. Peter takes things too far and so Rachel ends up becoming Peter’s competitor rather than his intern. This is definitely a fun story about values and friendship. I found myself enjoying this story because it showed how […]

Review: The Reader by Traci Chee is so incredibly interesting and cool. I really enjoyed this book because it was so different than anything else that I have read. Chee brings readers a beautifully written debut novel with diverse characters and amazing world building. Writing and Readers i completely forbidden in this world and is a very uncharted territory for people. There is hidden magic and so much danger that this book will leave you on the edge of your seat. One thing that I kind of enjoyed about this book is the more I read, the more I felt […]

Things I’m Seeing Without You Blog Tour: Review and Giveaway

REVIEW: Things I’ve Seeing Without You by Peter Bognanni is deep and humorous. I have to say that it is a bit hard for me to say that a story about a girl dealing with her boyfriend’s suicide. What makes the story humorous is the fact that her father owns an alternative funeral business. As Tess is trying to deal and recover from the loss of her boyfriend, her dad is off doing funerals for dogs and horses and other cases. Tess and her boyfriend had an online based relationship. As she is dealing with her loss, she goes online […]

Review: The Care and Feeding of a Pet Black Hole by Michelle Cuevas is absoutely adorable. This is one of the funniest and most creative middle grade books that I have read this year. I found myself really enjoying this cute little story. I think this is a great story that tackles losing a loved one. Stella Rodriguez’s father has passed away and so Stella has to find a way to deal with it. Larry, the pet black hole, is eating his feelings. Whenever Larry touches something, it gets absorbed into his core and Larry really enjoys snuggling with soft […]

“Wink Poppy Midnight” by April Genevieve Tucholke is written so beautifully. I can’t even begin to tell you what I was really reading but I can tell you that it sounded amazing. I feel like the story had a poem like quality to it. I feel like the story jumped all over the place. I think that is what is supposed to be the mystery of the story. This novel has a little bit of everything in it. There is mystery, romance, suspense, confusion, and lots of beautiful writing. This entire story is written in a series of metaphors which […]

My Teaser: Just as I was falling back to sleep, eyelids closing, Poppy wriggled out of my arms and woke me up again. She went over to the window and looked out,, over at the Bell farm, the moonlight settling around her. A breeze came in and moved the hair across the curve of her shoulder blades, back and forth, just an inch or two. Book Review: Q&A a Day: 5-Year Journal
Posted March 4, 2015 by love2dazzle in Non-Fiction, Reviews / 0 Comments

The “Q&A a Day: 5-Year Journal” is so awesome. I was so excited to get a copy of this for review. I started writing in mine the day after I got it. This journal asks you a different question everyday. On each day there is a slot to write for the year you are filling out the question. I am looking forward to see how my answers change from each year to the next. This is a relatively small book as far as I think it is about the height of a normal person’s hand. It is a bit of […]
