When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon is amazing. I love Dimple and Rishi’s story. These two characters fit together so well. Dimple is headstrong and determined. She has a one track mind to win Insomnia Con. Her plans are derailed when Rishi shows up declaring her as his future wife. Rishi is under the expectation that Dimple knows that he is coming to Insomnia Con. to meet him. Dimple knows no such thing. This begins a whirlwind of events that brought so much joy to my life. I really enjoyed Dimple and Rishi and all of their interactions. Menon […]

Long May She Reign by Rhiannon Thomas is amazing. I was so excited to read this book and it definitely lived up to this expectation. This story started out super strong. Freya is a scientist. She is on the lowest totem pole to become the next ruler. I love that the fantasy part of the book was also mixed with a murder mystery. This story was extremely enjoyable. Freya despises the wastefulness of court life. She would rather keep to herself and her science, because of this Freya ends up being spared by accident. For the King’s birthday celebration there […]

What Light by Jay Asher is a perfect holiday read. I found that I very much enjoyed Sierra and Caleb. I loved that this story takes place in my two favorite states, California and Oregon. Sierra’s family owns a tree farm in Oregon but every winter they travel to California to sell their Christmas trees. This may be the last eyar that Sierra and her family come to California to sell their trees. When Sierra meets Caleb everything becomes complicated. She can’t decide if she wants to open up to him. Sierra has never taken a chance like that with […]

My Teaser: Gael was with Cara on this one-a video scavenger hunt sounded next-level lame-and yet he couldn’t’ help but appreciate that Sammy took Piper so seriously. He knew Piper loved that.   About love2dazzle Hey, I’m Ali. I am an avid reader and have been reading since I was around the age of 3. I have a book with me everywhere I go. I am also a writer. Stealing Snow by Danielle Paige

Stealing Snow by Danielle Paige

A couple things. I was under the impression that “Stealing Snow” by Danielle Paige is a “Snow White” retelling. “Stealing Snow” is actually a retelling of “The Snow Queen.” I found this story to be quite dull. I feel like there was a few confusing elements between what story is being retold. There is even a reference to Snow calling her pills her dwarves. Snow’s character is what I want to call into question. She is extremely one-dimensional. Snow is in an asylum. She bites people and acts crazy but really she isn’t. It is portrayed that Snow has a […]

“The Thousandth Floor” by Katharine McGee is fun and entertaining. I really enjoyed the scandals. I think the comparison to the “Gossip Girl” TV show is spot on. This is very much a futuristic “Gossip Girl.” This cover is gorgeous. I love how shiny it looks. I was lucky enough to have a friend that had a spare ARC. I was excited to dive right in. “The Thousandth Floor” is full of teenage gossip and it is so addictive. The higher up you live in the tower the richer you are. Living in a world where there is high-tech toys […]

My Teaser: There was another silence. Avery couldn’t really see Atlas’s face in the darkness. “I don’t…” He trailed off. Avery wondered whether he was about to say he didn’t love Leda or didn’t know. Bonus: I want to throw in there that this book cover is amazing. I am so glad that I have a chance to read an ARC. I am a huge fan of the gossip girl TV show and I hear that this book is comparable, so I am checking it out. About love2dazzle Hey, I’m Ali. I am an avid reader and have been reading […]

My Teaser: With every ounce of energy I had left, I ripped one hand free and sliced t his face. My ice claws made an impression on the hood of his armor: four lines tracked across the surface of the magical metal. The Enforcer had my wrist secured again in a half second.
