This review is so incredibly late. “Queen of Shadows”. “Queen of Shadows”. “Queen of Shadows”. I don’t know where to begin. Maybe that is why I have been delaying writing this review. That or I just don’t have time. Either way….”Queen of Shadows”. I actually think I enjoyed this one a lot more than “Heir of Fire”. Yeah I know, Rowan was introduced in “Heir of Fire” but I didn’t like him much then. I feel like “Queen of Shadows” was really when Celaena/Aelin was coming into her own. She was really becoming a Queen at this point. I really […]

Sarah J Maas does it again. She brings a fantastic book to her readers. Who knew that finally taking the chance to pick up “Throne of Glass” after succumbing to peer pressure (yes I am looking at you Iris), that I would love this book series. “Throne of Glass” was everything I could have hoped for. “Crown of Midnight” was even better, but “Heir of Fire?!?” Can you say book coma people? It took a bit of time to get over this one and of course I still had to wait for “Queen of Shadows” to come out. (Yeah I […]

I know I was late to the game, but this is such an amazing series. “Crown of Midnight” was a wonderful sequel to “Throne of Glass”. I think “Crown of Midnight” is one of my new favorite books. I love how man twists Maas’ puts in her stories. These characters grow with each book and I just can’t get enough. I love when the character development in a series is so good. “Crown of Midnight” shows a whole new side to Celaena and I love it. She is such a sassy person. Definitely my kind of gal. I think the […]

“Throne of Glass” by Sarah J Maas is amazing. I am in love with these characters and this book and this series! I own both the audiobook and the hardcover. I kept going back and forth between the two depending on if I was out and about or just at home. Celaena is Adarlan’s assassin. The Prince and his Captain have come to get Celaena out of Endovier to compete in a competition to become the King’s champion. If Celaena wins she can eventually have her freedom after being the King’s assassin. As Celaena cooperates to gain her freedom, she learns that something strange is going […]

Book Review: The Assassin’s Blade by Sarah J Maas

“The Assassin’s Blade” by Sarah J Maas was intense. Over the end of summer I participated in the #readthroneofglass read-along. This is my first time reading the “Throne of Glass” series and I was getting ready for “Queen of Shadows”. It is definitely an understatement saying I was addicted right away. It was more like obsessed. Where have I been this entire time? This series is amazing. I started with “Throne of Glass” first and then read “The Assassin’s Blade” second which was a little bit out-of-order for the read-along. I wanted to know what I was getting myself into frist. I […]

My Teaser: “He’d make them play this game of exchanging niceties until he wanted to answer their question. Beside her, Sam was rigid in his seat. She could practically feel the hot rage rippling off of him as Arobynn said my assassins. Another razor-sharp use of words. She bit down on her own rising anger.
