It took me awhile to read Fairest by Marissa Meyer because I wasn’t sure if I could feel sympathetic towards Levana. I also wasn’t sure if I wanted to know her story. After reading the new graphic novel Wires and Nerves by Marissa Meyer, I decided I wanted to get to know Levana more. I was ready. Fairest was amazing. I was so surprised at the content that I got. I felt so bad for everything Levana went through. Now this didn’t mean I liked her because she is still the villain that I love to hate but this book […]

Wires and Nerve, Volume 1 by Marissa Meyer is great. I really enjoyed this graphic novel. Wires and Nerve takes place after WInter and before the “ending” short story in Stars Above. This graphic novel focuses mainly around IKO but all of our other favorite characters show up Wires and Nerve contains many spoilers from this series, so please be aware if you have not read The Lunar Chronicles yet. I really enjoyed these characters coming to life in a new way. Meyer kept the story fun and entertaining. The artwork is great. I thought the illustrator did a wonderful […]

When we all thought the end was over, Meyer decided to give us just a bit more. I loved how we got to know the characters a little more. The Keeper: I loved getting to know Michelle Benoit. Michelle Benoit is a character that I really wanted to get to know more and I got my wish. I was thankful Meyer gave me the chance. “The Keeper” spans across seven years. Benoit is given Cinder to protect, but then Scarlet comes to live with her. Scarlet being in the house makes things a lot more complicated. I really liked learning […]

Oh “Winter” The end of the “Lunar Chronicles” is upon us. “Winter” by Marissa Meyer is essentially the last novel in the “Lunar Chronicles.” It is always sad when a great series comes to an end. I am going to start off with something new and start off with what I didn’t like first. What I didn’t like: Book was way too long Wolf Beauty Let me elaborate. Length: I feel like parts of the book were drawn out for no reason but to create length. Many times I felt like the book was coming to an end but there […]

My Teaser:  She turned toward the shore, but couldn’t make herself move. She was shivering. her stomach was hollow. Her weighted leg pulled her down again and it took the strength of a thousand wolf soldiers for her to climb back to the surface. Water flooded her mouth and she spat as soon as her head broke through the waves, but it was useless. If you fell in love with “Cinder” by Marissa Meyer, then you will definitely love “Scarlet” by Marissa Meyer. This is one of the best series to date. I feel that the fairytales real told in a sci-fi world of androids and cyborgs in aso amazing and creative. Meyer has a way of capturing her reader’s attention and holding it there. Meyer blends the new characters of the Lunar Chronicles into the story perfectly, making all the puzzle pieces fit. Who knew that fairy tales could become so addicting and delicious? “Scarlet” picks up right where “Cinder” left off. Cinder is […]
