“Untamed” by A. G. Howard was a sweet tribute to the beloved characters that we have fallen in love with. I fell in love with the “Splintered” series right away. I am a huge Alice in Wonderland fan and this seemed like such a perfect fit for me. I’ve missed these characters since I finished “Ensnared.” It was nice to get to revisit each of them again. I feel like “Untamed” was written specifically for the fans. These are for the ones that want just that little bit more of the world and characters that Howard created. “Untamed” is three […]

“Greta and the Lost Army” by Chloe Jacobs was the best one yet! This was a great conclusion to the series. Greta as always is a fantastic heroine. She has had an amazing story since the beginning of the book. Greta goes to every length she can no matter how extreme the circumstances for those that she loves. Greta doesn’t give up and I love that about her. This whole series and been about Greta growing and becoming stronger. Jacobs is an amazing world builder. I think she has done a great job with these novels and the world building. […]

The conclusion to “Splintered” by A.G. Howard was everything I wanted and didn’t want. I feel like “Ensnared” was gorgeous and terrible. A.G. Howard has taken her readers on an incredible ride in Wonderland. As many people know. I have always been a fan of “Alice in Wonderland” and Howard’s series has blown me away. The reader picks up where we were left in book two “Unhinged.” Alyssa and her father are off to AnyElsewhere in order to save Alison, Jeb, and Morpheus. The first thing on the list is to get Alyssa’s father’s memories back. Off to the memory […]

“Unhinged” by A.G. Howard was a dark and twisted sequel to “Splintered.” “Unhinged” picks up several months after “Splintered” ended. Alyssa is trying to figure out her relationship with Jeb but it is a bit difficult because he doesn’t remember any of their time in Wonderland. When Morpheus starts showing up in her dreams again, Alyssa wonders if something is up. Now that Wonderland is in danger again, Alyssa doesn’t want to go back but she is afraid that she must if she is to say her beloved second home. I really did like “Unhinged.” I felt like I really […]

Book Review: The Golden Braid by Melanie Dickerson

Book Review: The Golden Braid by Melanie Dickerson

This is my first experience with Melanie Dickerson and her writing and I have to say that it wasn’t what I expected. I think Dickerson does a great job with the world. She tries to keep her time periods as accurate as she possibly can. I really like this when someone is trying to keep some sort of historical background to the story. I think this story will really draw people who enjoy historical fiction mixed with fairy tales. This book really drew me in because of the fact that this Rapunzel could throw knives. Who wouldn’t want to read […]

Why I am Waiting? “Ash & Bramble” by Sarah Prineas in a new and very interesting take on the story of Cinderella. With all the Cinderella hype right now with the new Disney movie, I am really looking forward to this unique take on the classic fairytale. The story of Cinderella has come a long way from the Grimm brothers. To find how a fairy godmother may manipulate the story to create a fairytale rather than the girl having the true fairytale is going to make for a very interesting story. “Cress” by Marissa Meyer was definitely her best book yet. I loving the Lunar Chronicles. Meyer has done a fantastic job and combining sci-fi with fairy tales. Who would have thought this combination would make such a fantastic series. I love all the story lines that Meyer combines and creates in her beloved Lunar Chronicles. The characters are really what makes these stories. Meyer creates the most unique and fun characters. I am glad that I have gotten to know each one as my journey continues in each book. Meyer takes old fairy tales and brings a whole new light […]
