“Shining Sea” by Mimi Cross is extremely enjoyable. This story really got to me. Arion is a great character. There are items that I really liked Ario and other times I wanted to shake some sense into her. Cross’ writing really shows in this book. I think her writing is beautiful and very poetic. This is a story about Cate. Cate starts off the book hanging out with her best friend Cal who she also has feelings for. Then everything comes crashing down and Cal dies in a car accident.
