Breaking Blog Tour: Review and Giveaway

Breaking Blog Tour: Review and Giveaway

Review: Breaking by Danielle Rollins is the companion novel to Burning. I think Breaking should be listed as a sequel because you need a lot of knowledge from Burning for everything to make sense. I think Breaking is more of a ya-thriller than Burning was too. These characters drew me in right away. I was extremely interested in Charlotte’s life and how it would connect with Angela’s from Burning. Breaking is very mysterious and I enjoyed trying to figure out the mystery. I think Charlotte’s character is interesting. Her best friends committed suicide but she doesn’t know why. Charlotte […]

Burning by Danielle Rollins is a ya-thriller but I didn’t find it as creepy as it sounded. A 10 year old girl with odd abilities shows up at a juvenile detention center and weird things begin to happen. This book didn’t wrap up as well as I would have liked but I still found myself enjoying it. This story is really enjoyable. Rollins’ writing is strong and she created some great characters. Angela is a great main character. Her story is what kept me going with this story. I wanted to see what would happen to her. Rollins did a […]

Saint Anything by Sarah Dessen is so good. I really enjoyed this book. I felt like I could really relate to Sydney and what she was going through. Sydney is struggling because her older brother is in jail and she feels guilty for all the mistakes that he has made. To get away from all the rumors and pity, Sydney ends up changing schools and making new friends. Sydney’s new group of friends are quite odd but at the same time they are pretty amazing. Sydney makes a new girlfriend, meets a wonderful boy that she wants to be her […]

The Names They Gave Us by Emery Lord is amazing. Lucy is such a strong character. I feel like Lucy’s struggle is something many people can relate too. Lucy is struggling with her faith and why God would allow her mom’s cancer to come back. Lucy’s mom asks her to be a counselor at a camp for troubled teens rather than going to normal church camp. The struggle Lucy is going through is one many can relate too and I really enjoyed her self discovery. This story is about finding out who you are and where you belong. I enjoyed […]

Review: Lock and Key by Sarah Dessen brought so many feels. There are so many changes in life that you have no control over and Sarah Dessen really explored this. Ruby is turning 18 in a few months, but before she can get there her mother abandons her. Ruby ends up living with her estranged sister. I really enjoyed this story because I am currently going through my own changes in life that are out for my control. Ruby’s story touched my soul. I totally understand wanting a safe place and wanting to keep something normal. Ruby grew a […]

By Your Side by Kasie West was not everything that it could have been. west had the perfect setting a library. A girl and a boy locked in said library is even better. So why am I so-so about this book? What I liked: Dax: he had a pro and con list and the pros won so he has been added to the like list. it was light, fluffy, and fast Autumn’s family is great. Autumn has really supportive parents that care about her health and mental health. I really enjoyed reading about their family dynamic. What I didn’t like: […]

Blood Rose Rebellion by Rosalyn Eves

Blood Rose Rebellion by Rosalyn Eves

Blood Rose Rebellion by Rosalyn Eves is a decent start to a new series. The story starts off strong with Anna destroying her sister’s debut. Anna end sup being a character that is hard to connect with. i feel like Anna is much younger than 16 because of how she acts. She is very shallow an love sick. i was told so many good things about this book thought that I decided to continue with the story. The magic in this world is very different and a bit hard to understand. Everyone goes through a confirmation to confirm their magic […]

Carve the Mark by Veronica Roth is so good. I know there is so much controversy regarding this book. I even was attacked and unfriended by people who were upset about me posting Instagram pictures. Here is my answer towards all for that, if a book is already on my TBR and there is controversy, I am still going to read the  book. I deserve to form my own opinion. I am not one who decides to read or not read a book because of drama. With that being said here is my review. Review: I enjoyed Carve the Mark. […]

City of Saints and Thieves by Natalie C. Anderson is so good. This book took me by surprise. For some reason I was expecting not to like it and instead it made me cry. I am a very emotional person. So since I cry a lot in real life, I rarely cry in books and movies. There is a specific chapter in this book that made me cry. Tina makes a point to try to be invisible. If people notice you, than one may be caught and that is the last thing you want. Tina is a thief. She is […]

That Summer by Sarah Dessen

That Summer by Sarah Dessen

Review: That Summer by Sarah Dessen had such a realistic story plot that I was drawn in right away. Haven is gong through so many changes in her life. Her dad left. Her sister is getting married. Her mom wants to sell their house. Haven’s entire life is spinning out of control and she doesn’t have a choice over any of it. I may not have experienced any of the issues that Haven has experienced, but I can relate to how she felt. Haven tries to grasp some point of her life that she loved and hold on to […]
