Midnight Jewel by Richelle Mead is so good. This is the first time that I am reading a series that is done in a different POV but is the same story in each book. I am really enjoying these books. Mead is a brilliant writer. Do you remember all those moments that Mira disappeared in The Glittering Court? Now is the time to find out. Mira has been through so much in her life but she truly just wants to pay off her brothers bond so they may unite. Grant is trying to recruit a Glittering Court girl to become […]

Reunited by Colleen Houck is the conclusion to the Reawakened series. I enjoyed the conclusion to this series. Now Lily has Tia and Ashley (the Fairy) living in her body. If you thought two voices was confusing…well now you have three. Reunited started out with Lily not remembering anything and now she has to go on another adventure. With no memory, Lily starts this new Egyptian journey to save the world. With three voices in her head and no memory, Lily is so confused about her life. The hardest part is that she doesn’t know who to love. I really […]

Reignited by Colleen Houck is amazing. This is one of the best novellas ever. Houck brings her readers a novella that dives into the history of the Egyptian gods. I really enjoyed diving into the Egyptian mythology. Reignited gives the reader a lot of background information for this series. Getting to know the gods was really interesting because they each are a god over something different and they act so much like whatever they are the god over. This novella is a must read. Reawakened by Colleen Houck drew me in right away. I’ve been waiting for all three books to be published so I can binge read all of the books. I learned with the Tiger’s Curse series that Houck is one to leave you hanging, so you will need the next book right away. Reawakened brings you a very entertaining action packed adventure in Egypt. Lily Young is an heiress. All she wants is to choose her own path and become the person she wants to be. She feels so much pressure from her parents. They have her whole life planned for […]

Akata Warrior Blog Tour: Review and Giveaway

Akata Warrior Blog Tour: Review and Giveaway

REVIEW:  Akata Warrior by Nnedi Okorafor is a fabulous sequel to Akata Wich. Sunny Nwazue is a bit older and more grown up. Okorafor brings a bit of a more dreamy and broaden world in Akata Warrior. This sequel focuses a lot more on Sunny discovering who she is as a Leopard Person and what that really means. She learns how to rely on herself and not just the powers taht she is given. I really enjoyed the continued growth that Sunny shows and the different things that she learns about herself. This book does not bring a lot […]

Things I’m Seeing Without You Blog Tour: Review and Giveaway

REVIEW: Things I’ve Seeing Without You by Peter Bognanni is deep and humorous. I have to say that it is a bit hard for me to say that a story about a girl dealing with her boyfriend’s suicide. What makes the story humorous is the fact that her father owns an alternative funeral business. As Tess is trying to deal and recover from the loss of her boyfriend, her dad is off doing funerals for dogs and horses and other cases. Tess and her boyfriend had an online based relationship. As she is dealing with her loss, she goes online […]

Girls Made of Snow and Glass by Melisaa Bashardoust is magical and addictive. I really enjoyed this loose retelling of Snow White. Bashardoust brings us two strong female characters that share their story. I loved that this book has two points of view. I really fell for both Mina and Lynet. Let’s talk about the characters! The Men: I will be brief. They are terrible. The Huntsman is probably the nicest one but well he is not idea. In more ways than one. The King is so infuriating. He is selfish, oblivious, mean, and well stupid. He makes such a […]

Stalking Jack the Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco is amazing. I really enjoyed this book. I seem to have a thing for historical murder mystery books. This story is delightful and dark, which drew me in right away. I actually only had two guesses as to who the murderer was and one of my guesses was right! The characters in this book are fantastic. I really enjoyed Audrey Rose. she knows what she wants and isn’t going to let anyone stop her. Audrey Rose is strong and determined. She is so smart and I am glad she doesn’t take crap from […]
