This volume definitely ended with a mighty bang. I think this novel is a bit confusing. The stories are a bit all over the place. I felt a bit lost more than once. I thought the story was good but the execution was sub-par. I love the art. I think the artwork is gorgeous and definitely the best part. For this graphic novel as a whole, I’d say better luck next time. About love2dazzle Ali Kiki is a reader, writer, reviewer, blogger, and photographer in Portland, OR. Comic Review: Ms. Marvel

“Ms. Marvel” wasn’t as good as I was expecting. Ms. Marvel, the character, wasn’t as awesome as I would have liked. The hard part of this review is the fact that the story did not live up to the hype that has been centered around it. This is an okay start to the series of comments but I do hope for something better in the future. The characters weren’t very interesting to me at all. I am interested to see how the story will continue. About love2dazzle Ali Kiki is a reader, writer, reviewer, blogger, and photographer in Portland, OR. […]

Check out my review of “Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children” by Ransom Riggs here. Graphic Novel Specific: The graphic novel is easy to read. I was a bit disappointed with the fact that it is mostly black and white. i was hoping for more color. I think the creepy vintage photos fit a whole lot better. This is my first Delilah Dirk graphic novel. I thought the graphics were well done and very enjoyable to look at. I thought Cliff did an awesome job with the story. I was hooked to it right away and eager to read more. I thought the story was very compelling. I feel like the reader really got to know Delilah Dirk in this story. It gives the reader a peak into her back story and what makes her the person that she is. I think this graphic novel was really good. I look forward to reading more. About love2dazzle Ali […]

I really liked “The Wicked and The Divine, Vol. 1.” The artwork is so beautiful. The story line is pretty fun too. I was drawn into the story because of the artwork. I was fascinated by how beautiful the pictures are. The story is pretty interesting, that these gods get reincarnated every two years as teenagers. The are pretty much rock-stars and then they die. While they are reincarnated, they basically cause a ton of mischief. Now one of the gods is being framed for murder, so a mortal girl is trying to figure out what really happened. The biggest […]

“Saga Vol. 5” did not disappoint. The illustrations are always beautiful. You can tell that Vaughn and Staples do a great job with this graphic novel. Then the reader is taken to the present of when Dengo has Hazel, Alana, and her grandmother as prisoners as Dengo tries to figure out what to do with Hazel and Prince Robot IV’s robot son. Prince Robot IV and Marko are in The Stalk’s ship trying to track down their families. The characters have […]
