The Last Namsara by Kristen Ciccarelli is so good. Asha is the daughter of the Draskor King. Asha does not have your typical princess life, she is a dragon slayer. She is the Iskari and wears the scars on her face for it. People are afraid of her. Asha is cursed to make the wrongs of her past right. If Asha can unlock her past, she may be able to discover the truth about her life. I don’t know about you, but when dragons are mentioned, I immediately want to read that book. The Fire Queen by Emily R. King is an amazing follow up to The Hundredth Queen. Fair warning, this book can’t be read without reading the first book or a lot of events and conversations won’t make sense. Kalinda is finally free from her new husband but her country is falling to pieces. She is off on an adventure to find her late husband’s first born Prince Ashwin. The last thing that Kalinda wants is to be Queen. On this strange journey, Kalinda’s group splits up and Kalinda is taken straight to the Prince. When Kalinda arrives at the Janardanian […]

Death and Night by Roshani Chokshi is a great little insight to The Star-Touched Queen. I have to say that I actually enjoyed Death and Night way more than The Star-Touched Queen. It was great getting to know Maya and Amar better. Their story is so sweet and interesting. Chokshi writes very beautifully in this novella. Review: The Speaker by Tracci Chee is such an amazing sequel to The Reader. I was so excited to return to the land of Kelanna. Sefia and Archer are on the run and they end up with a group of kids that are like Archer. Sefia and Archer find out that this group of kids are on a mission of retribution and so Archer is danger of losing himself to his dark side again. The Speaker focuses on Archer a bit more in this book than Sefia. There is an odd form of fellowship with these kids that have been […]

At First Blush by Beth Ellyn Summer is a very cute and summery read. This book takes you behind the scenes of makeup vlogging. I found this book kind of interesting because I watch makeup vlogs. We really need more contemporary novels that show online personas. As society continues on growing, people are becoming famous because of YouTube. I hope to see more books like this in the future. At First Blush is definitely cute and the characters make the story a fun read. About love2dazzle Ali Kiki is a reader, writer, reviewer, blogger, and photographer in Portland, OR. An […]

Review: The Reader by Traci Chee is so incredibly interesting and cool. I really enjoyed this book because it was so different than anything else that I have read. Chee brings readers a beautifully written debut novel with diverse characters and amazing world building. Writing and Readers i completely forbidden in this world and is a very uncharted territory for people. There is hidden magic and so much danger that this book will leave you on the edge of your seat. One thing that I kind of enjoyed about this book is the more I read, the more I felt […]

Midnight Jewel by Richelle Mead is so good. This is the first time that I am reading a series that is done in a different POV but is the same story in each book. I am really enjoying these books. Mead is a brilliant writer. Do you remember all those moments that Mira disappeared in The Glittering Court? Now is the time to find out. Mira has been through so much in her life but she truly just wants to pay off her brothers bond so they may unite. Grant is trying to recruit a Glittering Court girl to become […]
